ELIZABETH RETIVOV, LISW
Jungian Analyst/Psychotherapist Certified Human Design Analyst
Elizabeth Retivov is a senior Jungian analyst. She believes that the challenge for each of us is to live soulfully and authentically within the experiential rough-and-tumble of our unique life. Synthesizing the psychodynamic work of Carl Jung and the Human Design System™, she helps clients facilitate self-awareness to bring clarity to individual and relationship dilemmas and to the decisions that determine the quality with which a life unfolds.
Early on, Elizabeth’s journey led her to the study and practice of psychotherapy. She was a psychoanalyst, supervisor, and teacher in private practice in New York City for over 20 years, moving from a Neo-Freudian path to training as a Jungian analyst. During that time, her work was enriched by a long-term Vipassana practice and extended stays in India studying with an Advaita Vedanta teacher in the lineage of Ramana Maharshi.
Throughout her life, she has listened to the guiding voice of synchronicity. Following the call to leave New York, she moved to Santa Fe where she discovered, studied and became certified as a Human Design analyst. A multi-level typological system, Human Design™ reveals a personal map and decision-making process that brings alive in a practical way the Jungian individuation process. As we unite our mundane and spiritual worlds, we unfold our potential and purpose.
Every human being is an exception to the rule
Elizabeth holds that life contains vast riches and there are tools, people, and ideas that, like the pole star, are available to steer us on our journey as we navigate the Great Waters. Now practicing in Boulder, she offers individual psychotherapy, analysis; supervision; partnership/relationship analysis and coaching; Human Design readings and coaching; and consultations for the mental health and business professional.
